Trails and property

Thirty two beautifully groomed trails that range from easy to expert. Terrain feature areas including a progression park, a terrain park and an SBX course. Plus breathtaking views of the beautiful Escarpment and Georgian Bay. Craigleith is the perfect setting for an enjoyable, premiere ski and snowboarding experience all season long.

Craigleith operates six lifts:

  • National, Funnel and Comet Express high-speed quads
  • V-Hill quad
  • Little John triple
  • Magic Carpet

And the best part? Consistently short lift lines mean more time on the hills.

Whether you’re a beginner or someone looking for a serious challenge, Craigleith has trails for every level. Adventurous skiers will love the Landslide; with its 30 degree pitch, it’s the steepest run on the Escarpment. For the less experienced, the gently-sloped Little John promises fun for everyone, regardless of skill or experience.

Terrain parks

Snowboarders and skiers all have access to our outstanding terrain feature areas. The progression park is designed to encourage skill development, while the Funnel Terrain Park challenges your skills with spines, rollers, bumps and whales. Plus, an SBX course is built on Comet in mid-winter, providing members and guests with the opportunity to test out the latest hill challenge.

Watch for our Smart Signage orange oval, which provides a clearer definition of the parks and their features. Provide a visual of these signs here

Grooming and snowmaking

Extensive snowmaking facilities throughout our property ensure maximum coverage for the entire season; our York Automated snowmaking system is the largest of all of Ontario’s private clubs, converting up to 4000 gallons of water to snow per minute. We have 400 snow guns – many of which are computer controlled – which can cover the entire property with one foot of snow in less than four days, depending on weather conditions. Plus, Craigleith has the largest water supply in North America – we draw our water for snowmaking directly from Georgian Bay, resulting in the maximum possible number of ski days every winter.

Once the runs are covered with lots of snow, skilled operators ensure excellent conditions with five state-of-the-art groomers including a half-pipe groomer. Whether you’re looking for moguls, cruising or powder, they can make it happen!

Great trails take work

Getting our parks and trails right is a year-round job. That’s why our dedicated operations team spends the off-season getting them to the optimum condition for winter enjoyment.
