Trails and Property

With 32 trails and 2 terrain parks Craigleith is a premier private ski club hosting prime terrain with spectacular views of the Escarpment and Georgian Bay. Our dedicated operations team spends the off season making sure the trails are at optimum conditions by the winter for the enjoyment of our members, their families and guests.

The trails range from easy to expert, and our extremely short lift lines allow you to spend more time experiencing the exhilaration of the hills. Craigleith operates 5 lifts; our high-speed quad, the National; V-Hill quad; our triples, Little John and Funnel; our double, Comet; and the new Magic Carpet introduced in the 2006/07 season. 

For the adventurous snowboarders and skiers, Craigleith provides further outstanding facilities: – Buttonhole Terrain Park Half-Pipe, and Funnel Terrain Park, both built with spines, rollers, bumps and whales.

Grooming and Snowmaking

Craigleith has installed extensive snowmaking capabilities throughout the property to ensure maximum coverage during the entire season. The state-of-the-art “York Automated” snowmaking system is the largest of all the private clubs.

With our current capacity to convert 4000 gallons of water to snow per minute and more than 400 snow guns many of which are computer controlled, we can cover the entire property in less than 4 days with 1 foot of snow (assuming optimum production/weather conditions). To ensure that we have adequate snow, we have the largest water supply in North America – we draw it directly from Georgian Bay. The result, the maximum number of ski days every winter.

Once the runs are covered with lots of snow, our highly-skilled operators work to ensure excellent conditions through the use of our 5 groomers (including a half-pipe groomer). Whether you want moguls, cruising or powder, they are capable of making it happen!
