Become a Member

Craigleith Ski Club (founded in 1958) places great emphasis on being a family-oriented Club. The Club’s membership program offers several membership options, based on availability:

Annual Membership

A one-year trial membership is offered for people who would like to experience the Club for one season prior to joining as a Family Member. A maximum of one season is allowed for each applicant, and annual members are required to complete the application process prior to joining. Before the annual membership is granted, payment of a surcharge and annual dues is required, along with any program and facility costs incurred. There are a limited number of Annual & Family Memberships. Applications are being accepted for the 2010/2011 season. Please contact Natalie Bennett or Jan Kimble at the Club office for details on the new membership programs.

Family Membership

Full Family Membership is obtained after the Club receives payment of the prescribed initiation fee, annual dues, program registrations and any facility costs incurred. Children of Family Members have the right to become voting members of the Club should they choose, at the age of 30. The current initiation fee for children of members seeking full family status is calculated at three times the first member's annual dues.

Single Membership

Individuals can acquire a Single Membership, which holds the same privileges as a Family Membership, following payment of the prescribed initiation fee. Single members pay for their own annual dues, programs and any facility costs. Single members are not able to designate family members as badgeholders and do not have the option to advance children to voting membership. Single members are able to convert to Family Membership upon payment of the required initiation fee.

Senior Membership

Senior membership provides an opportunity for individuals or couples over the age of 55 to join the Club, following payment of the prescribed initiation fee, annual dues, program registrations and facility costs (as used). A Senior Member has the same privileges as a Family Member, except for the right to designate children as badgeholders, and children of Senior Members are not eligible to advance to Family Membership.

Applications for all memberships require two letters of introduction by Craigleith members. All applications are reviewed by the Membership Committee.
